The latest Blues news…

Jamie Carragher: Terry and May are not in the frame at the moment, but the Blues boss wants to bring them in and is looking for a couple more signings.

Terry, who has been linked as a potential replacement for Craig Forsyth, has been an unused substitute for the Reds this season.

Last season he was part of a side that finished third in the Championship, with only one point from their opening five matches.

He has also featured in six of the Blues’ last nine games, scoring two goals and assisting on another.

He is the second former Blues player to be linked with the Blues this transfer window.

In January, former Leeds United player Chris Woods joined on loan from Birmingham City.

The former Blues defender is out of contract in the summer and is expected to sign on a permanent deal with Birmingham City, but there has been a growing belief in the club that he will be tempted back to Anfield if the right offer arrives.

In other Blues news, the club have confirmed the signing of striker Lee Wallace, who joined on a season-long loan deal from Charlton Athletic, after having a medical with the club.

Wallace scored five goals in 30 appearances for Charlton in the 2016/17 season, which was the best goal tally by a Charlton player in the top flight.

He was also named in the Football Writers’ Association Player of the Year in 2017/18.

Wallaces best goal came against Sheffield United in the FA Cup third round.

He will be available for selection when the Blues host Ipswich Town on Wednesday, April 15.
