HUNTING counties are getting a boost in job hunting with huntsmen working to fill vacant positions.
The hunting community is seeking candidates for more than 4,200 positions, according to the Huntsman Corporation, which is offering hunters a way to get involved in hunting jobs in rural areas.
Hunters in rural counties can apply online for hunting jobs by visiting huntsman.com/jobs and entering the title “Hunters of jobs.”
The agency has more than 500 jobs available and can fill any position, Hunt Supervisor John Hurd said.
“You want to work on the front end and be a mentor to a young hunter who may be going through some tough times in life,” he said.
“They’ll be able to get out of their comfort zone and go out and hunt.”
The agency said hunters can apply through its website, huntsmanjobs.com, or through a phone call to 800-721-2121.
Hurd encouraged hunters to be courteous and consider candidates that they may know.
The agency is also hiring hunters for a new job program.
The program will offer hunters the chance to work with volunteers to help them in the community.
“We are always looking for candidates who are committed to serving the hunting community,” Hurd added.
“There are thousands of hunters who want to help, and we need people to do that.”
